Alexandre Karlov has a Master of Science in Communication Systems with specialization in Information Security and a PhD in Computer and Communication Sciences from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne.
He worked for 9 years at Kudelski Group, a Swiss renowned security company, first as a cryptography expert and later as program manager responsible for the development and operations of cybersecurity programs. Currently Dr. Karlov holds the position of Professor at University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland, School of Business and Engineering Vaud. He teaches information security subjects to engineering students and carries out applied research and development with leading Swiss and European industrial partners in the domains of data protection, cryptography and cybersecurity. His interests include information risk management, security assessment of complex infrastructures and reverse engineering.
