Aris Dandens

In October 2014 he became a Head of Smart grid Competence centre of the AS Sadales tikls, largest DSO of Latvia, before he was a Head of Smart grid Competence centre of the AS Latvenergo (a utility company) for more than 3 years. His work experience at Latvenergo began in 1999 as electrical engineer at Energy metering and revenue protection department; in 2001 he got a position of Assistant of Board member at Latvenergo (CTO). He gained significant work experience in administrative and technical work at generation, distribution and transmission of energy. Ā. Dandens was a project manager and implemented the first centralised Meter data reading and management system in Latvenergo, this system reads data from smart meters of DSO, TSO and largest Latvian HPS and CHPP. In 1996, Ā. Dandens received a Bachelor degree in engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at the Latvia University of Agriculture, followed by a 2014 Master degree in the Environmental Science programme from the RTU Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering, Institute of Environmental Science and Thermal Systems.
